Meet Jon Lefevers, Owner of Lefevers' Cycles in Johnson City, TN
We’ve had the pleasure of riding the ridge but no one knows it better than the locals. When Jon Lefevers heard we were doing the Blue Ridge Stake Out in his backyard, he was one of the first persons who offered up any help necessary. If that isn’t southern hospitality then we don’t know what is.
My name is Jon Lefevers. I live in Johnson City, TN. I am a custom motorcycle painter, and own a shop here in town called Lefevers’ Cycles. I got started painting about 16 years ago, working on my own car in high school. Graduated at 17 and immediately started tech school. After that I went Into the automotive collision industry, have worked on high end hot rods and custom cars, until realizing my passion of focusing on motorcycles.
I have always lived here in Appalachia, but after getting to travel tons, I feel we have some of the best motorcycle roads in the country. Having personally road almost the whole Blue Ridge Parkway, I can’t wait for people new to the area to check it out. My favorite section is up near Grand Father mountain. No commercial vehicles allowed, beautiful overlooks and scenery, and tons of fun curves. It really can’t get better.
